Two agencies used their own tracking and reports, and the numbers did not agree. We became the independent oversight layer. In 30 days we found 3,000+ application events credited to the portfolio site, not the property that earned them.
Reported conversions jumped on flat spend, while completed applications fell from 56 to 41. A copied Apply Now tag counted each click twice. Corrected portfolio growth was 2.7%, not the reported 30%.
The agency wanted to expand a local campaign to the whole state. The data showed the local campaign spent $1,528 for 1 conversion, and out-of-market cities produced none. We advised fixing the campaign before adding any geography.
